Hello

Maggie Goedeke, DPT, CLT, has been practicing physical therapy in Homer since 2014. Maggie uses a soft-touch gentle approach, integrating many techniques throughout the treatment session to support the lymphatic, craniosacral, visceral, and fascial systems to release restrictions and restore the body’s multi-faceted connections. With Maggie’s in-depth understanding and treatment of the human as a whole, she can deeply support the body’s systems to allow restored alignment, tissue gliding, elasticity, and fluid movement throughout the body. Her specialized skills include a comprehensive knowledge of fascial release techniques like BioSynchronistics®, as well as Visceral Mobilization, scar tissue release, CranioSacral Therapy, joint & spine health, pelvic health, and she is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist.

Maggie's Story

Maggie grew up in rural Kansas, and developed early skills working closely with animals on her family’s small cattle farm. Supporting a newborn calf after a traumatic birth, she was fascinated by its nervous system reflexes and twitching and learned the power of touch and connection that triggers the instinct to stand and walk within an hour of being born. She also instinctively supported the family’s dogs to relieve constipation, sore hips, or back pain. Maggie’s passion for horsemanship and relationships with animals based on mutual respect helped expand her non-verbal communication skills, which are also helpful when working with people in pain, children, and non-verbal adults.

Growing up, Maggie was a multi-sport athlete, which honed her ability to analyze an athlete’s movement, need for mobility and strength, and the importance of training progression and mental strategies for success. Maggie was a two-time tennis State Doubles Champion in Kansas 2A Division and her senior year Doubles team was undefeated 38-0.

Following another passion for musical theatre, Maggie attended Wichita State University for a Bachelors of Fine Arts in 2011, and uses her dance background and training as a vocalist to better understand breath and movement in connection to health and wellness. Maggie worked as a Rehab Aide during several undergrad summers, and the wonderful therapists at Labette County Hospital's Center of Rehabilitation Excellence (the CORE) taught and inspired her to become a compassionate healthcare provider and to treat each patient as a whole person. Continuing her graduate studies in physical therapy, Maggie enjoyed tying together all the pieces of her curiosities about human and animal movement when learning about the musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, respiratory, cardiovascular and immune systems of the human body. Maggie received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Wichita State in 2014.

Seeking adventure, Maggie moved to Homer after graduation and has enjoyed working to grow her skills, explore Alaska’s natural beauty, and serve the community’s diverse needs ever since. She has participated in community theatre and the Homer Dance Ladies; plays tennis, pickleball, and Divas hockey; and enjoys the outdoors paddleboarding, cross-country skiing, hiking, backpacking, dipnetting, and sailing. Maggie is a proud member of the Homer Yacht Club; she also has her 6-pack Captain’s License and is collaborating to create Northern Sailing Adventures and bring sailing tours to Kachemak Bay!

Why Intuitive Healing?

Maggie's Journey:

Integrating Energy, Emotions, and the Body for Healing

For over a decade, Maggie has walked the path of deep listening—to the body, to emotion, and to the invisible threads that weave energy through it all. Her journey began in the world of physical therapy, where she came to realize that not all pain lives where it appears—and not all healing happens through structure alone. Beneath the muscles and bones, she sensed something more subtle: a language of energy, emotion, and memory held within the body’s tissues, especially within the fascia, where energy can crystallize like frozen water.

This discovery became the foundation for her personal healing practice—one that continues to expand her capacity to feel, sense, and support transformation in others.

Her work is inspired and informed by the written teachings of Dr. Joe Dispenza, Heather Ash Amara, Don Miguel Ruiz, Amorah Quan Yin, Caroline Myss, Sandra Ingerman, and Cyndi Dale. Woven together, their wisdom and her lived experience have shaped a practice that is as intuitive as it is grounded—one that invites the body, mind, and soul into resonance once again.
